This is also part of our commitment to make it as easy as possible for small and medium teams to move away from big tech and take back control of their digital infrastructure.

We’ve all talked about the dangers of Big Tech. We know how surveillance capitalism works. We understand the impact on our privacy, our communities, and our ability to organize independently. We’ve discussed the politics, shared the articles, nodded along at the presentations. But now what?

Here’s the truth: leaving Big Tech is going to be challenging. For individuals, yes, but especially for organizations and communities. it’s about changing culture, building new habits, and making strategic decisions that stick and not at all about new shiny tech.

But there are ways to begin this process that actually work. These ways that focus on political education, organizational change, start with simple and practical steps that don’t disrupt your daily work, and build toward a longer-term strategy that makes sense for your team.
